REDCap: Getting Started

In collaboration with the Harvard Catalyst | The Harvard Clinical and Translational Science Center, REDCap and REDCap Survey are free, secure, web-based applications hosted by the ERIS Team and designed to support data capture for research studies.

To learn more about REDCap visit: This session is to help REDCap users design databases and surveys. Learn about study start up, project life cycles, data management, and how to program data fields and branching logic. First hour is an overview demonstration and then time is devoted to user’s Q&A and design questions.

Learning Objectives:
1) Access REDCap and request new projects.
2) List the different types of projects REDCap can support.
3) Describe the two different types of data collection instruments and the program features/applications.

Target audience: Researchers that are tasked with making changes to REDCap production projects and/or have been tasked with reviewing data discrepancies.
